Texas’ Dylan Campbell (player), Oklahoma’s Braden Carmichael (pitcher) and Texas Tech’s Nolen Hester (newcomer) captured the final Big 12 baseball weekly awards of the season.
 
Campbell hit .538, leading Texas to a three-game sweep of West Virginia that the Longhorns had to have to clinch a share of their 10^th Big 12 regular season title. Campbell, who extended his school-record hitting streak to 33 games, had five extra-base hits, including two doubles, a triple and two home runs. The junior outfielder was 3-for-3 in the first inning of games, sparking the Longhorn offense. The Houston native scored six runs and drove in four. He had a .571 on-base percentage and a 1.308 slugging percentage to earn his first career player of the week honor.
 
Carmichael threw a complete game shutout, leading Oklahoma to a 5-0 win over Oklahoma State. The senior lefty allowed just four hits, struck out five and did not walk a batter, facing just four batters over the minimum. By finishing his outing in just 96 pitches, the Prosper, Texas native earned a “Maddux,” which describes a complete-game shutout completed in under 100 pitches. It is Carmichael’s first career pitcher of the week honor.
 
Hester hit .583 as the Red Raiders took a series from Kansas, and doubled in all three games of the series. The Red Raider leadoff hitter reached base in all five plate appearances in Saturday’s series finale, scoring three runs in the game. He posted an on-base percentage of .667 and a slugging percentage of .833, to go along with a pair of three-hit outings. The transfer from Wofford collected his first newcomer of the week award.
