Oklahoma State’s Nolan Schubart (player), Oklahoma’s Braden Davis (pitcher) and BYU’s Kuhio Aloy (newcomer) were voted for Big 12 baseball weekly awards for the 12^th week of the season.
 
Schubart had a record-setting week, highlighted by tying a Big 12 record with four home runs in the Tuesday game against Wichita State. The outfielder from Durand, Michigan hit .529 for the week, drove in 10 runs, and had eight extra base hits over four games. In the Wichita State game, he went 5-for-5 with a double, and had seven RBIs. The sophomore marketing major added another home run in the series opener against Texas, then closed the series with a two-hit performance in a 7-2 win Sunday. For the week, Schubart hit .529 with a 2.167 OPS to earn his first career player of the week award after being honored as the newcomer of the week three times in 2023.
 
Davis earned his fourth consecutive series-opening victory, twirling 7.0 innings of shutout ball on Friday against Texas Tech. The junior lefthander allowed two hits while striking out eight and allowing just two walks in the Sooners’ 8-0 win. The construction management major from Keller, Texas has now won pitcher of the week honors in back-to-back weeks, surrendering just a single run and five hits over his last 13.0 innings pitched.
 
Aloy had four multi-hit games, batting .588 for the week, scoring four runs and hitting a pair of solo home runs. The freshman from Maui hit a game-tying home run in the ninth inning of Thursday’s game against Miami (Florida), sending the game to extra innings. The designated hitter started a go-ahead rally in the sixth inning of the Cougars’ 8-2 victory Saturday, scoring the first of four runs as BYU erased a two-run deficit. Aloy is the first BYU baseball player to earn a Big 12 weekly award.
