NO. 12 SEED BAYLOR BEARS

Head Coach Scott Drew
Opening Statement:
"The good news for us is that everybody is still healthy and ready to go. We still want to play some more - we want to be here for a couple of days."

On the mentality of the team:
"The biggest thing with playing fewer games this year is that you have a greater sense of urgency in every game you play because you have to value them that much more. I think we brought that in to each game. At this time of year we are playing better than we did earlier. We are a little more excited and determined to be competitive and to win games."

On defending guard Richard Roby:
"With our team we have small guards so it makes it even more difficult to defend him. Roby is someone who will get his shots and what you have to do is your best job at contesting them and hope he misses."

Sophomore Guard Aaron Bruce
On the team's confidence:
"We have confidence because the more we learned and the better exposure we got in certain situations, the better we would be able to adapt. We've really come together and started playing unselfishly and it shows in our results."

Senior Forward/Center Tommy Swanson
On only playing 16 games this season:
"Right now everyone is in good spirits and healthy. We don't have to deal with the pressure of becoming fatigued because of our short season. It definitely made us hungrier to get started. Inexperience has been the downfall for us so far, but for every negative you can find a positive."
