Sarah Shire (Missouri) was named the Big 12 Gymnast of the Week for the sixth time this season. Hollie Vise (Oklahoma) was recognized as the Event Specialist of the Week, her second for 2010. It marked the 13th career weekly accolade for Shire and the seventh for Vise.

BIG 12 GYMNAST OF THE WEEK
Sarah Shire, Missouri, Sr., Columbia, Mo.
Shire claimed her third consecutive weekly honor after sweeping every individual event en route to capturing the all-around title (39.675). This marked the seventh all-around victory of the season and the 20th career crown for the senior. Her event wins on vault (9.925), bars (9.875), beam (9.925) and floor (9.950) helped the Tigers to their highest away meet score (196.200) this season.

Big 12 EVENT SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK
Hollie Vise, Oklahoma, Sr., Dallas, Texas
Vise posted career highs on bars (9.925), beam (9.950) and floor (9.925), winning all three event titles. Her performance led the Sooners to their first win over a No. 1 opponent in program history as OU defeated Alabama 197.950 to 197.275. The senior ranks first nationally on beam and third on bars. Vise also leads the Conference in both events.
