Scoring Story
There were 38 touchdowns from scrimmage Saturday – 16 on runs and 22 on passes. The 16 touchdown runs averaged 7.6 yards and the 22 passing touchdowns averaged 24.9 yards. Ten of the 22 passing touchdowns were 20 or more yards.
Of the 38 touchdown drives, 13 took less than two minutes and eight less than one minute.
There was a 51-yard fumble return and interception returns for touchdowns of five and 74 yards.
Baylor (6-1, 3-1; lost to West Virginia, 41-27; vs. Kansas Nov. 1)
Kicker Chris Callahan made a career-long 38-yard field goal in the first quarter and added a 34-yard field goal on the next drive, giving him six consecutive makes; he started the season 1-for-6.
Spencer Roth had a 69-yard punt in the second quarter, giving him eight career punts of 60-plus yards, tied for 3rd-most in Baylor history.
Baylor's 215 penalty yards were the most in school history (previous: 157 vs. Rice in 1976) and most in Big 12 history (previous: 183, Texas Tech vs. Rice in 2007). The Bears' 18 penalties were one shy of the BU record of 19 set at Oregon State in 1998.
Baylor lost for the first time in the Art Briles Era when forcing 3-plus turnovers — the Bears are now 17-1 in those games. The Bears had won 21 consecutive games when forcing three or more turnovers.
Iowa State (2-5, 0-4; lost to Texas, 48-45; vs. Oklahoma Nov. 1)
Sam B. Richardson is the first Iowa State quarterback with 30 or more receptions in consecutive games since 2008 (Austen Arnaud, vs. Missouri and Kansas State). His three touchdown passes tied a season high.
Tight end E.J. Bills had a career-high 10 receptions and he leads the team with six touchdown catches.
Jevohn Miller had his first career fumble recovery and his return for a score was Iowa State's first fumble return for touchdown by ISU since Nov. 12, 2005.
D'Vario Montgomery tied a career high with nine receptions and had a career-high 100 receiving yards.
Iowa State has 15 touchdown drives of 75-plus yards this season.
Iowa State had season highs for total yards (524) and rushing yards (179).
Kansas (2-5, 0-4; lost to Texas Tech, 34-21; at Baylor Nov. 1)
Junior quarterback Michael Cummings had two touchdown passes in a game for the first time in his career.
Linebcker Ben Heeney had 21 tackles, the most form a Kansas player since LeRoy Irvin, Sr., tallied 21 against Missouri Nov. 22, 1979.
Senior Trevor Pardula averaged 45.0 yards on six punts giving him 45 career punts of 50-yards or more in just his second season as a Jayhawk.
Kansas scored in the second quarter for the first time this season.
Kansas State (5-1, 3-0; defeated Oklahoma, 31-30; vs. Texas Saturday)
Junior defensive back Danzel McDaniel's first interception was a five-yard pick six and gave the Wildcats their 93rd non-offensive touchdown since 1999; that leads the nation.
Fullback Glenn Gronkowski had a 62-yard touchdown reception and has four in his career; three have covered 50 or more yards.
Senior linebacker Jonathan Truman had a career high 17 tackles.
Junior defensive tackle Travis Britz blocked an Oklahoma extra point in the fourth quarter. He has five blocked kicks in his career, which equals the most in school history.
Randall Evans wore jersey number 27 in tribute to former Wildcat David Garrett (2009-11), who tragically lost his life last week in Cleveland.
K-State has won two of the last three meetings with Oklahoma and has won two straight games in Norman for the first time since 1994 and 1997.

Wide receiver Sterling Shepard's 15 receptions were a career high and tied the single-game school record ( Justin Brown in 2012, Jalen Saunders in 2012 and Ryan Broyles in 2010).
Quarterback Trevor Knight had season highs for yards (318) and touchdown passes (three).
Tight end Blake Bell had a career-best 22-yard reception and tied his career high with three catches.
Wide receiver Michiah Quick had his first two receptions (for 27 yards) in his first career start.
Oklahoma State (5-2, 3-1; lost to TCU, 42-9; vs. West Virginia Saturday)
Emmanuel Ogbah among the leaders in sacks and tackles for loss, had two sacks and two tackles for loss.
Defensive tackle James Castleman recorded his second career interception.
Kicker Ben Grogan had three field goals. He entered the game leading the nation in field goals made per game.
Oklahoma State's streak of recording at least one touchdown drive of two minutes ended at 41 games and its streak of scoring 20 or more points ended at 58 consecutive games.
Oklahoma State has recorded at least two sacks in eight consecutive games.
TCU (5-1, 2-1; defeated Oklahoma State, 42-9; vs. Texas Tech Saturday)
Josh Doctson's first 100-yard receiving game of his career came on seven receptions for 225 yards and two touchdowns. The 225 yards came within one of the school single-game record.
TCU had a 400-yard passer (410, Trevone Boykin), 200-yard receiver (225, Josh Doctson) and 100-yard rusher (102, B.J. Catalon) for the first time in school history.
In the last three games, TCU has its most points ever against Oklahoma (37), Baylor (58) and Oklahoma State (42).
The 33-point margin was TCU's largest in a Big 12 game.
TCU has scored the game's opening 14 points and held a lead of at least 14-0 in each game this season.
TCU had 676 yards in total offense and has opened the season with at least 427 yards of total offense in each contest for the first time in school history.

Sophomore Tyrone Swoopes had a team-best and career-high 95 yards rushing.
Tyrone Swoopes has 800 yards of total offense in the last two games, third-highest total in back-to-back games in school history.
Kicker Nick Rose made a career-long 45-yard field goal and his first game winner. He has made his last four attempts.
Texas has 11 interceptions, topping last season's total of 10.
Texas had three sacks and have three or more sacks in six of seven games.
Texas had season highs in rushing yards (191) and average per attempt (4.9)

Sophomore quarterback Davis Webb has 22 touchdown passes, surpassing last season's total of 20.
Texas Tech has eight different players catch a touchdown pass this season.
After losing or tying in the turnover battle in third consecutive games, Texas Tech didn't lose the turnover battle for the second consecutive game.
Texas Tech extended its winning streak against Kansas to eight and ended an eight-game Big 12 losing streak extending back to last season.
West Virginia (5-2, 3-1; defeated Baylor, 41-27; at Oklahoma State Saturday)
Senior receiver Kevin White set a school record with his seventh consecutive game with 100 or more yards receiving. He has a touchdown reception in five consecutive games.
Going back to last season, quarterback Clint Trickett has thrown for 300 or more yards in eight consecutive games – a school record.
Shaq Riddick had a career-high three sacks against Baylor and now has four sacks in the last two games.
Kicker Josh Lambert is 4-for-4 on field goals of 50 yards or more this season and has five in his career – that ties the school record.
West Virginia's win over No. 4 Baylor was its first over a top-five team since the 2008 Fiesta Bowl (No. 3 Oklahoma) and its first over a top-five team at home since 2003 (No. 3 Virginia Tech).
