Scoring Stats
There were 51 touchdowns scored from scrimmage, 25 on the ground and 26 through the air. The 25 rushing touchdowns averaged 9.6 yards and the passing TDs averaged 29.3 yards.
There were three returns for touchdowns – a 50-yard interception return, an 85-yard punt return, a 26-yard fumble return.
The 10 Big 12 teams averaged 73.7 offensive plays and 486.1 yards in total offense.
Of the 51 scoring drives last Saturday, 33 took less than two minutes of possession time and 14 were less than one minute in length. Through two weeks of play, Big 12 teams have 90 touchdown drives; 50 have lasted less than two minutes and 25 less than one minute.
Baylor (2-0; defeated Lamar, 66-31; vs. Rice Sept. 26)
Wide receiver Corey Coleman set a school record with four touchdown receptions. The TD catches covered 42, 21, 61 and 34 yards.
Baylor had three players with over 100 rushing yards for the third time in school history. Shock Linwood had 130 yards while Johnny Jefferson and Terrance Williams each had 121 yards. It was a career-best total for both Jefferson and Williams.
Baylor is 7-0 at McLane Stadium, with an average margin of victory of 32.1 points. The Bears are averaging 55.6 points and 670.4 yards per game in their new home.
Baylor's 785 total yards are the second-most in school history and the 11th time that the Bears have gone over 700 yards.
Iowa State (1-1; lost to Iowa, 31-17; at Toledo)
Dale Pierson had two sacks and now has five on the season. The Cyclones' individual sack leader last season finished with six tackles.
Jauan Wesley had his first career touchdown reception plus had career highs in receptions (four) and yards (76).
Trever Ryen's first reception of his career resulted in a 53-yard gain.
For the second consecutive game, Iowa State had 61,500 in attendance at Jack Trice Stadium, matching the record crowd in Week One.
Kansas (0-2; lost to Memphis, 55-23; at Rutgers Sept. 26)
Junior running back Ke'aun Kinner had 113 yards rushing and is the first KU back since James Sims in 2013 with back-to-back 100-yard games.
Redshirt freshman wide receiver Tyler Patrick had career highs in receptions (six) and yards (38).
Junior safety Fish Smithson had a career-high 12 tackles.
Kansas forced and recovered three fumbles, the most since matching that total at Oklahoma State on Nov. 10, 2007.
Kansas State (2-0; defeated UTSA, 30-3; vs. Louisiana Tech)
Junior Joe Hubener, making his first career start, had a career-high 243 yards passing and a career-high 58 yards rushing.
Senior kicker Jack Cantele came off the bench to make 3-of-3 field goals from distances of 29, 27 and 21 yards.
It's the third time in school history K-State has allowed three points or less in the first two games of the season. It previously happened in 1936 and 2002.
K-State had lost seven consecutive games in domed stadiums before Saturday's victory.
It was K-State's first double-digit victory in a non-conference road game since a 47-7 win at Northern Illinois on September 6, 1997.
K-State has won 49 consecutive games when leading at halftime.
Oklahoma (2-0; won at Tennessee, 31-24, in two overtimes; vs. Tulsa)
Quarterback Baker Mayfield has thrown for three touchdowns in each of his first two games as a Sooner.
Running back Joe Mixon had a career high 42 yards rushing.
The last time Oklahoma trailed by 14 or more at the end of the third quarter was 1983 when the Sooners overcame a 17-3 deficit to Oklahoma State to win 21-20.
The attendance of 102,455 was the largest to ever witness an Oklahoma game.
Oklahoma held Tennessee scoreless in the third and fourth quarters, limiting Tennessee to eight yards in the fourth quarter.
Oklahoma State (2-0; defeated Central Arkansas, 32-8; vs. UTSA)
Sophomore quarterback Mason Rudolph, making his first home start, threw for a career-high 401 yards.
Receiver David Glidden had a career-high 145 receiving yards.
Oklahoma State has won 20 consecutive home openers.
Oklahoma State had 10 offensive plays of more than 20 yards and also had a 53-yard kickoff return.
TCU (2-0; defeated Stephen F. Austin, 70-7; vs. SMU)
Five Horned Frogs scored their first collegiate touchdowns: Denzel Johnson, Jaelan Austin, Kyle Hicks, Colten Christensen and KaVontae Turpin. Bram Kohlhausen had his first career touchdown pass.
Denzel Johnson's third-quarter, 50-yard interception return for a touchdown was TCU's 26th non-offensive touchdown, including 15th pick six, since 2010.
TCU's 70 points were the second-most scored in a game in program history. It was just the sixth time TCU eclipsed the 65-point mark in a game.
TCU has won 14 straight home openers - the nation's fifth-longest active streak.
After posting 15 yards on its opening play, Stephen F. Austin was held to 24 yards on 36 plays the remainder of the first half. Through three quarters, SFA had 79 yards of total offense.
TCU's first five touchdown drives averaged 1:03 in possession time.
Texas (1-1; defeated Rice, 42-28; vs. Cal Saturday)
Three players scored the first touchdown of their career – wide receiver John Burt, running back D'Onta Foremen and linebacker Malik Jefferson.
Texas set a school record with 175 yards on punt returns. Daje Johnson had 119 yards on three returns (one for an 85-yard TD) and Duke Thomas one punt return for 56 yards.
Texas scored 42 points but ran just 38 offensive plays. The Longhorns had 327 yards on punt, kickoff, interception and fumble returns.
Texas has now won 16 straight home openers. The last time Texas lost a home opener was against North Carolina State in 1999.
Texas Tech (2-0; defeated UTEP 69-20; at Arkansas)
Sophomore quarterback Patrick Mahomes has passed for at least four touchdowns in five consecutive games. Over the first six starts of his career, Mahomes now has 2,214 passing yards, 22 touchdowns and just three interceptions.
In the first halves of two games this season, Mahomes is 39-of-58 passing (67 percent) for 619 yards and seven touchdowns.
Jakeem Grant caught seven passes for 141 yards. His 60-yard touchdown reception was a career long.
Justin Stockton's 46-yard touchdown reception was the longest of his career.
Texas Tech's 128 points through two games is the second-highest to start a season. The Red Raiders totaled 136 points in their first two games in 2005.
Of Texas Tech's 16 touchdown drives this season, 11 have gone for under two minutes while five have gone for under a minute.
Texas Tech has started 2-0 for the 11th consecutive season.

West Virginia (2-0; defeated Liberty, 41-17; vs. Maryland Sept. 26)
Quarterback Skyler Howard's 21 pass completions matched his career high.
Howard has thrown for three touchdowns in three of his four starts.
Kicker Josh Lambert's two field goals pushed his career total to 52, fourth-most in school history.
Liberty's first points came with 4:35 remaining in the third quarter. West Virginia started the season with six consecutive quarters without allowing a point. The last time that happened was 1977.
