Oklahoma’s Chayse Capps, McKenzie Wofford and Jade Degouveia record this week’s honors after helping the Sooners to a 2-0 weekend. Capps captures her second honor of the season as Gymnast of the Week while Wofford and Degouveia earn their first accolades.

Gymnast of the Week
Chayse Capps, Oklahoma, Sr., Plano, Texas

• Secured two all-around titles with scores of 39.475 and 39.625 in OU’s wins over No. 7 Georgia and Texas Women’s, respectively.
• Of her eight scores between the two meets, five were 9.9 or higher.
• Notched season-highs on bars (9.9) and floor (9.975) in the meet vs. Texas Women’s.

Event Specialist of the Week
McKenzie Wofford, Oklahoma, Sr., Denton, Texas

• Scored a 9.95 on bars for a season-high, which was bested against Texas Women’s with a perfect score.
• The 10.0 awarded for her performance on the bars marked her first-ever.
• Was part of an OU bar lineup that scored a program-best 49.700 at Texas Women’s.
• Currently tied for fourth in the nation on bars.

Newcomer of the Week
Jade Degouveia, OU, Fr., Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

• Upgraded her vault to a Yurchenko 1 1/2, giving the Sooners a fourth 10.0 start value in their lineup.
• Performed the new vault for the first time against No. 7 Georgia and scored a career-high 9.85.
• Matched her score with the same mark on Sunday, helping OU to a 2-0 weekend.
