Big 12 Soccer Week 10 Honors Announced

Hannah Abraham (West Virginia) and Texas duo Nicole Curry and Julia Grosso were honored with Big 12 soccer weekly awards.

Abraham earned Offensive Player of the Week for the first time this season after tallying three goals, including both game-winners, in wins at Oklahoma State (2-1) and Oklahoma (4-1). The senior forward owns a team-best nine career game-winning-goals.

Nicole Curry was awarded Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season and third in her career, for making 10 combined saves, posting consecutive solo shutouts and playing all 180 minutes in wins over Kansas (2-0) and K-State (4-0). The goalkeeper helped Texas complete the first perfect home regular-season schedule in school history (10-0-0).

Grosso was named Freshman of the Week for the first time after making quite the return to the Texas team after missing the first six Big 12 matches due to international duty with the Canadian Women’s Senior National Team. The midfielder scored her first two collegiate goals over a span of just a few minutes to help boost Texas past Kansas State 4-0.
