Big 12 Football Championship Game Tiebreaker Scenarios

Oklahoma Finishes at 8-1 and Texas finishes at 7-2
With a win over West Virginia and the best win percentage in conference games, OU earns the No. 1 seed (home team) in the championship game. An OU win and a Texas win over Kansas would guarantee Texas as the No. 2 seed (visiting team).

Oklahoma and West Virginia tie at 7-2
Both would qualify for the championship game with WVU earning the No. 1 seed (home team) via a win over OU.

Oklahoma, West Virginia and Texas tie at 7-2
WVU and UT would earn the championship game berths as both would have wins over OU. WVU would have the No. 1 seed (home team) via a win over Texas.

Texas and West Virginia tie at 6-3
WVU has the tiebreaker due to the head-to-head win.

UT, WVU and ISU tie at 6-3
All three would be 1-1 against each other. UT would earn the berth based on its win over first-place Oklahoma.
