Katie McClure (Kansas), Marissa Zucchetto (Texas Tech) and Maddie Algya (Baylor) earned Big 12 soccer weekly awards for the first weekend of the regular season.

McClure received Offensive Player of the Week after scoring the game-winning goal in the Jayhawks’ season-opening upset over No. 18 Pepperdine. Zucchetto, who posted back-to-back shutouts after playing the full 90 minutes for the first two games of the season, was named Defensive Player of the Week. Algya was awarded Freshman of the Week after leading the Big 12 with 6 points and 2 assists over the weekend.

This is the first career honors for McClure, Zucchetto and Algya.
