Randy Meneweather (Air Force) and Jacob Wright (Fresno State) have been named Big 12 Co-Wrestlers of the Week for Week 1. Both student-athletes are earning their first career weekly.

Meneweather opened his senior season in dominating fashion, going a perfect 5-0 on the weekend to win the 165 lb elite division at Wyoming’s Cowboy Open. He finished the weekend with four pins, including one in his first match that took only 19 seconds.

Wright served as the lone Fresno State wrestler to win all three of his duals at the AFC Duals/Battle on the Midway. The sophomore defeated 157 lb, No. 23 Lucas Weiland of Army 7-2 in his final dual to close an opening weekend in which he scored 31 points and only allowed 16.
