K-State, Oklahoma and Texas football student-athletes earned the final weekly honors of the 2019 season.

Texas wide receiver Devin Duvernay was named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week, while Oklahoma cornerback Parnell Motley picked up Defensive Player of the Week. K-State freshman Joshua Youngblood was tabbed Special Teams Player of the Week for a second straight week, while Longhorn freshman Roschon Johnson earned Newcomer of the Week. A five-person media panel selects the honorees.

Duvernay caught six passes for a career-high 199 yards and a touchdown in the Longhorns’ win over Texas Tech. Five of his six receptions resulted in gains of more than 20 yards and all six covered at least 15 yards. His 199 receiving yards rank third in Texas history and were the most for a Longhorn since 2009.

Motley registered six tackles (five solo), two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, an interception and a pass breakup, as the Sooners held Oklahoma State to 335 yards (140 below OSU's season average). The senior cornerback recovered the first fumble he forced, which led to an OU touchdown and a 17-7 lead. His fourth-quarter interception was his first of the season.

Youngblood returned two kickoffs for 100 yards - including the opening kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown - in Kansas State's 27-17 victory over Iowa State. The kick return touchdown was his third of the season, which ranks first in Big 12 and K-State history in kickoff-return touchdowns among freshmen. With his performance against the Cyclones, the freshman ranks first in the Big 12 with a 38.1-yard kickoff-return average.

Johnson ran for 105 yards and scored three touchdowns on 23 carries against Texas Tech for his second 100-yard game of the season. His three rushing TDs were tied for the most by a Big 12 player this week and were the best amongst newcomers. Johnson became the ninth true freshman in Texas history to rush for at least 600 yards in a season.

The weekly award is the second for Duvernay, Johnson and Youngblood, while Motley is a first-time honoree.
