Texas Tech forward Lexi Gordon was tabbed Big 12 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, while K-State freshman Ayoka Lee garnered her fifth Freshman of the Week award. A five-person media panel selects the weekly award winners.

Gordon recorded career highs with 31 points, 11 rebounds and five assists for her first career double-double in the Lady Raiders’ win over UTSA. Playing in just her fifth game at Tech, the junior made 12-of-16 (.750) from the floor and 3-of-4 (.750) from three-point range. The weekly award is the first for Gordon.

Lee extended her double-double streak to four games with 12 points, 11 rebounds, three blocks, two assists and one steal in the win over UTRGV. This was Lee's seventh double-double in 11 games this season. She has hauled in 10 or more rebounds in eight games and has blocked two or more shots in nine games. With her three blocks, Lee moved into fourth on the K-State freshman season blocks list with 35. Lee is the first rookie/freshman in league history to win five of the first eight weekly awards in a season.
