Oklahoma State forward Natasha Mack collected her first Big 12 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honor after a historic performance, while Iowa State’s Maggie Espenmiller-McGraw collected her first Freshman of the Week award after leading the Cyclones to a league-opening victory. A five-person media panel selects the weekly award winners.
Mack recorded the 10th and 11th double-doubles of her career in victories over Duquesne and Kansas, as she averaged 23.0 points and 15.5 rebounds in the pair of victories. With her performance against Kansas, she became only the second player nationally since 1999-00 to score 25+ points, grab 20+ boards and block 9+ shots in a game.

Espenmiller-McGraw helped Iowa State to a 1-0 start in Big 12 action, as she tallied 17 points and shot 77.8 percent (7-of-9) from the floor on the road at Texas Tech. The guard went 3-of-4 from long range and dished two assists as the Cyclones handed Texas Tech their first loss of the season. Against North Alabama, Espenmiller-McGraw played 35 minutes and had the highest plus-minus on the team at +17.
