Eggleston, Archibong and Nembhard Claim Volleyball Honors

Texas’ Logan Eggleston joined the Kansas State duo of Abigail Archibong and Jayden Nembhard in picking up Big 12 volleyball weekly honors after leading their teams to doubleheader wins.
 
Eggleston claimed her second-consecutive Offensive Player of the Week while Archibong earned her first Defensive Player of the Week and Nembhard was selected as the top rookie.
 
Junior OH Eggleston led Texas with 34 total kills in back-to-back sweeps of Kansas. She hit .350 on 80 total attacks and averaged 5.67 kills per set while adding two service aces, 14 digs and four total blocks.
 
Archibong turned in the Big 12’s first 10-block performance of 2020, and by a Wildcat since 2018 in a win at West Virginia. She totaled nine block assists to go with a solo block in her career-best performance. The sophomore MB added six more blocks in K-State's second straight five-set road win and averaged 1.60 per set to move into second in the Conference rankings at 1.32 blocks on the season.
 
In her first career action, Nembhard put down 24 kills while hitting .389 to help the Cats overcome a 2-1 deficit. She added five blocks and four digs. The freshman OH followed with 19 kills in another come-from-behind road win. Her 24 kills marked a season high by a player in the Big 12 while her 19 kills is tied for second. For the week, she averaged 4.30 kills while hitting over .300.
