Udoka Azubuike (Kansas) and MaCio Teague (Baylor) led their teams to sweeps in conference play to earn Big 12 Men’s Basketball weekly accolades. Azubuike garnered his second Player of the Week while Teague claimed his second Newcomer award as Baylor tops the league standings with Kansas one game back.
 
Azubuike posted back-to-back double-doubles with 17 points and 12 rebounds against Texas followed by 20 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks at TCU. The senior center recorded 11 dunks on his 18 field goals, including nine of 10 at TCU. Azubuike became the sixth Big 12 player in league history to post at least 20 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks in a conference game with his performance against the Horned Frogs. Azubuike has 10 double-doubles on the season, which is tied for the league high, and his five in Big 12 play are first.
 
Teague helped the Bears extend their school-record winning streak to 20 straight in a pair of wins at Kansas State and versus Oklahoma State. He extended his streak of games scoring 15+ points and playing 35+ minutes to six straight, notching 15 points in 36 minutes at K-State and a season-high 24 points in 37 minutes vs. Oklahoma State. The junior guard closed the win against OSU by making six consecutive free throws after being fouled with the Bears leading by two with 14 seconds left.
