The Oklahoma State wrestling team won three individual titles en route to its eighth consecutive Big 12 Wrestling Championship trophy.
The Cowboys finished with 147.5 team points followed by Iowa State (116.5), Northern Iowa (111.5), South Dakota State (94) and NDSU (90.5) to round out the top-five.
Oklahoma State’s conference title streak matches its longest in program history as it also won eight straight from 1921-1928.
Seven of the 10 No. 1 seeds claimed Conference titles, highlighted by the Cowboys’ Nick Piccininni in the 125-pound weight class who won his fourth Big 12 trophy while also being named the Most Outstanding Wrestler as voted on by the league’s 12 head coaches.
Northern Iowa’s Doug Schwab was named the Big 12 Coach of the Year by his colleagues, becoming the first Panther head coach to win the honor in program history.
The 2020 NCAA Wrestling Championships are scheduled for March 19-21 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
