Texas Tech is the preseason favorite for the first time in program history in the 2020 Big 12 soccer preseason poll, as voted by the league’s head coaches.
The Red Raiders earned six first-place votes and 72 points while defending regular-season champion Oklahoma State is projected to finish second with three first-place votes and 70 points.
TCU, the 2019 Big 12 Championship runner-up, earned a third-place prediction with 55 points, followed by West Virginia at fourth (54) and Texas at fifth (50).
Kansas, the 2019 Big 12 Championship victors, was slated to finish sixth with 48 points. Baylor earned a first-place vote and 38 points for seventh, while Oklahoma (31), Iowa State (16) and K-State (16) rounded out the poll.
