IRVING, Texas — Oklahoma State's Trevor Mastrogiovanni was voted Wrestler of the Week by league coaches after an upset decision victory that aided the No. 6 Cowboys in a 23-10 win over No. 11 Minnesota last Saturday. OSU wrestlers defeated six ranked Gophers in the match.

Ranked No. 19 in the 125-pound weight class last week, the sophomore took on No. 5 Patrick McKee, who was an All-American last season. Mastrogiovanni held a 4-3 after the first period and separated the score in the second with an escape and a pair of takedowns to extend his lead to 9-4. He finished off a 10-6 decision to put the Cowboys up 3-0.

Mastrogiovanni jumped to No. 15 in the InterMat Wrestling Division I rankings released Tuesday morning.
