OU's Robertson, UT's Harmon Selected For WBB Weekly Awards

Taylor Robertson (Oklahoma) was named Big 12 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week and Rori Harmon (Texas) earned the league’s Freshman of the Week honors for games ending Dec. 26, as selected by a five-person media panel.

Robertson scored 19 points in the Sooners’ 83-76 win over Utah, helping Oklahoma erase a 19-point second-half deficit. In the game, Robertson broke the OU career record with her 377th made 3-pointer, and is now second on the all-time Big 12 career list. She was 5-of-10 from the field and 5-of-5 from the free throw line as Oklahoma moved to 10-1, the program’s best start since 2006-07. It is Robertson’s fourth career Big 12 Player of the Week honor and her first this season.

Harmon scored 15 points with seven rebounds and three steals in Texas’ 70-53 win at Princeton, who ranks No. 42 in the NET. Harmon went 6-of-8 from the field and 3-of-4 from the line as the Longhorns improved to 9-1. She added two assists in the contest, and ranks second among Division I freshmen with 5.1 assists per game. This is Harmon’s second Freshman of the Week accolade.
