Oklahoma’s Ana Llanusa was voted Big 12 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week and Kansas State’s Brylee Glenn was tabbed as Freshman of the Week for games ending December 5, as selected by a five-person media panel.
Llanusa averaged 23.0 points with 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals to lead the Sooners to a pair of double-digit wins. Llanusa did everything in Oklahoma’s 84-72 win at SMU, scoring 25 points with eight rebounds, six assists and three steals. The senior guard made it back-to-back 20-plus point games with 21 in Oklahoma’s 94-63 drubbing of Mississippi State. It was the first time since 2019 Llanusa had scored at least 20 points in consecutive games. For the week, she shot 45.7% from the field and was a perfect 8-for-8 on free throws. It is Llanusa’s third career Big 12 weekly honor, but her first selection as Player of the Week.
Glenn averaged 12.5 points on 45.5% shooting in two games, including a matchup with the nation’s top-ranked team. She scored 15 points against North Dakota State, nine of which came in a key 11-2 fourth-quarter run that extended K-State’s lead from 11 to 20. Glenn added a pair of assists and went six-of-nine from the field as the Wildcats extended their home record to 7-0 by a score of 78-57. The guard scored 10 points with three steals at No. 1 South Carolina, while playing a team-high 29 minutes. It is Glenn’s first Freshman of the Week honor, and the second consecutive week the award has been given to a Kansas State player.
