Texas swept the season’s final Big 12 Swimming & Diving weekly awards after winning performances against SMU. Alex Zettle and Bridget Semenuk were named Men’s and Women’s Swimmers of the Week while Jordan Windle and Paola Pineda garnered the Men’s and Women’s Diving awards. Windle picked up his third award of the season.
During UT's dual-meet win against SMU, Zettle claimed a dominant individual victory in the 1,000-yard freestyle. He posted a winning time of 8:48.39, recording the third-fastest time in the nation in the event this season. Zettle beat the second-place finisher by over six seconds.
Semenuk captured the individual title in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.65. She returned to swim the third leg of the winning 200-yard freestyle relay in a split time of 22.59 as the Texas 'A' team claimed the victory in a time of 1:31.74.
Windle swept the 1-meter and 3-meter titles versus SMU. The senior All-American posted a score of 431.79 on the 1-meter board and a 450.68 on the 3-meter board.
Pineda also swept the individual titles on the women’s 1-meter and 3-meter boards. She posted a score of 358.28 on the 1-meter board to win by nearly 40 points, and returned to register a score of 392.33 on the 3-meter board to claim victory by over 50 points.
