Gray, Donarski Collect Week 13 Accolades

Texas Tech’s Vivian Gray earned Big 12 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week and Iowa State’s Lexi Donarski was tabbed Freshman of the Week in Week 13. A five-person media panel selects the award winners.

Gray scored a career-high 38 points to go along with 10 rebounds, three blocks and three steals in the Lady Raiders’ OT victory over Kansas. She was 14-of-21 (.667) on the night from the floor and hit 10-of-13 free throw attempts. The senior had 21 points in the second half and five points in the overtime period to push Texas Tech to victory. She is only the second player in the nation this season to record a game of 30-plus points, 10-plus rebounds, three-plus blocks and three-plus steals.

Donarski tallied her fourth 20-point effort of the season in a win against Kansas. The freshman tallied 20 points, grabbing four rebounds and dishing four assists as she helped the Cyclones to a two-point win over the Jayhawks. In the Cyclones’ outing at Oklahoma State, Donarski reached double figures with 12 points. She also led ISU with five assists and added two boards. On the week, she averaged 16 points, 4.5 assists and 3.0 rebounds.

This is Gray’s third honor in her career and first this season, while Donarski picked up her fourth freshman honor.
