Baylor’s Hannah Sedwick picked up her first award of the season as Big 12 Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week and was named the Sports Import/AVCA National Player of the Week. Kansas’ Caroline Crawford was honored for the third time as she garnered Defensive Player of the Week while Kansas State’s Aliyah Carter was also recognized for the third occasion as Rookie of the Week.

Sedwick was electric in Baylor's only match last week, recording a season-high 45 assists in a three-set sweep at Texas State. The senior setter spread the ball around, as four Bears eclipsed double-digits in kills for the first time in the Ryan McGuyre era in a three-set match. Sedwick ran the offense to near perfection as BU hit .398 and recorded 19 kills in two of the three sets. She also added three kills and five digs.
 
Crawford recorded nine blocks and added 11 kills for 16.5 points at TCU in a four-set victory last Friday. In the series finale, the freshman MB added 10 more blocks while tallying six kills, an ace and three digs to finish with 12 points. She averaged 2.38 blocks in the eight sets against TCU.
 
Playing six rotations for just the second time in her freshman season, Carter recorded her first career double-double, as she put down 13 kills while hitting .296 to go with a career-best 10 digs. The freshman OH, who did not register a kill in the opening set, tallied 13 kills over the final two frames of a sweep of Saint Louis. She also added an ace and two blocks.
