The Texas Longhorns were crowned the 2022 Big 12 soccer regular season champions after their 3-1 win over Oklahoma on Thursday evening. This is the program’s second regular season title and first since 2001. Texas also clinched the No. 1 seed in the 2022 Sprouts Farmers Market Big 12 Soccer Championship, which kicks off on Sunday, October 30 at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex in Round Rock, Texas.
The No. 17 Longhorns finished league play with a record of 7-0-2, totaling 23 points. Texas will face No. 8 seed Kansas State, who clinched its first appearance in seven seasons as a program. K-State tied for seventh with Kansas in the final standings with eight points but was edged out of the No. 7 seed due to a goal difference of -6. The two teams open the event with an 11:30 a.m. match on Sunday.
TCU took the second seed after battling Texas Tech to a scoreless draw on Thursday. The Horned Frogs finished the Big 12 season with a 5-1-2 record and 18 points, edging out Texas Tech on goal difference (+9). No. 2 seed TCU takes on No. 7 Kansas in a 5:30 p.m. quarterfinals match.
Texas Tech received the No. 3 seed as the Red Raiders ended Conference play with 18 points and a +6 goals difference. Texas Tech will face No. 6 seed Oklahoma at 8 p.m.
No. 4 seed West Virginia and No. 5 seed Oklahoma State face each other again after a 1-1 tie on October 20. The Mountaineers take on the Cowgirls at 2 p.m.
This year’s Championship will feature an in-game live DJ for all matches. Additionally, Starting XI Youth will be walking out with team starters for introductions for all matches. During the final match, the Big 12 Conference will be recognizing select Special Olympics Athletes of the Year. Austin Samba, an Austin-area-based dance company that specializes in samba dancing, will be a special guest of the November 6 final match. Other highlights of the title match include a cannon simulator for each goal scored and post-game confetti.

here. Single one-day tickets are $5 and all-session tickets are $12. Groups of 10-or-more can purchase a one-day pass for $4 each. The quarterfinals and semifinals will be aired on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ while the final match is on ESPNU.
