The Big 12 Conference has announced the 2023 league softball schedule. Each team will play 18 Conference games with nine home and away.

The league slate opens March 24 and runs through May 7 with teams playing three-game series against each other during the weekends. The team that finishes with the highest winning percentage will claim the regular season crown.

The season concludes with the 2023 Phillips 66 Big 12 Softball Championship. The Championship takes place May 11-13 at USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex in Oklahoma City, the home of the Women’s College World Series.

Oklahoma won its 10th straight Big 12 regular season title last season before capturing the program’s sixth national championship. Oklahoma State celebrated its first-ever Big 12 softball title, winning the 2022 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship on the way to advancing to the semifinals at the WCWS.

The Big 12 was the most successful conference in the NCAA Championship last year, finishing with three of the semifinalists at the 2022 WCWS, including the two teams in the national championship. It marked the first time a league had both teams in the title matchup since 2014 and was the first year since 2015 that a league placed three teams into the semifinals. The Big 12 led the nation advancing 42.9% of its teams to the WCWS.
