Kansas State’s Deuce Vaughn, TCU’s Steve Avila and Texas’ Bijan Robinson were named Consensus All-America for the 2022 football season.
Vaughn was a repeat selection from 2021 as a returner/all-purpose player. Avila was chosen on the offensive line and Robinson was a unanimous first-team pick at running back. Big 12 players have been named Consensus All-America on 130 occasions.
The honor is awarded to the players who are listed on the most first All-America teams competing against players at that position only. To be selected a player must be named first team on at least two of the five selected All-America Teams. The five organizations used in the consensus chart are the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA), Associated Press, Football Writers Association of America (AFCA), The Sporting News and Walter Camp Foundation.
