K-State’s Pack, TCU’s Baugh Earn Men’s Basketball Weekly Awards

For the second time in three weeks, Kansas State’s Nijel Pack was voted Big 12 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week while TCU’s Damion Baugh picked up his first Newcomer of the Week recognition.
 
Pack posted consecutive 20-point games in helping K-State to wins over Oklahoma State at home and TCU on the road. He averaged 21 points on 59.3 percent shooting (16-of-27), including 53.8 percent (7-of-13) from 3-point range, along with 3.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 3.5 steals in 37.0 minutes per game. The sophomore guard capped a game-high 22-point night against OSU with the game-winning 3-pointer with 2.2 seconds left. He also added three rebounds, three steals and two assists in 36 minutes. Pack scored a game-high 20 points in the win at TCU, hitting on 7-of-10 field goals, including 3-of-6 from 3-point range, to go with a game-high four steals, four rebounds and three assists in 38 minutes.
 
Baugh averaged 18.5 points and 6.0 rebounds while shooting 51.9 percent from the field during a 1-1 week for TCU. He had 20 points on 8-of-13 field goal attempts and added a career-high eight rebounds in a 72-63 win at Oklahoma. The junior guard followed up with 17 points from 6-of-14 from the field against K-State along with four rebounds and two assists.
