OU’s Williams, K-State’s Glenn Earn Big 12 WBB Weekly Honors

IRVING, Texas - Madi Williams (Oklahoma) was named Big 12 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week and Brylee Glenn (Kansas State) was picked as the Conference’s Freshman of the Week for games ending February 6, as selected by a five-person media panel.
 
Williams averaged 21.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals in two Oklahoma wins, and was involved in the winning basket in both games. She hit the game-winner with nine seconds left in double-overtime against West Virginia, the final of her 22 points to go along with nine rebounds and three steals in the game. The Fort Worth, Texas native scored 20 points with eight rebounds and five assists in the 78-77 win against then-No. 9 Baylor, earning an assist on Liz Scott’s game-winner with six seconds left. Williams shot 51.6 percent (16-for-31) for the week, as she collected her third career Big 12 Player of the Week honor, and first of the season.
 
Glenn averaged 16.5 points, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals, while shooting 56.5 percent from the field (13-of-23) to nab her third Freshman of the Week award. She had a career-high 19 points against then-No. 11 Iowa State, 17 of which came in the fourth quarter, adding in four rebounds, two assists and two steals in the game. In K-State’s 82-75 win against Texas Tech, the Kansas City, Missouri native scored 14 points with four assists and two steals.
