AUSTIN, Texas – BYU (15-1-3) scored five second-half goals to claim a 6-0 win over No. 10-seeded Oklahoma (8-10-2) on a chilly Monday night at Mike A. Myers Stadium and Soccer Field. The quarterfinal matches of the 2023 Sprouts Farmers Market Big 12 Soccer Championship were relocated to the University of Texas campus due to Monday’s forecasted inclement weather.
Five different Cougars scored in the match, including Bella Folino who registered her first brace of the season. BYU’s Allie Fryer and Erin Bailey both netted their 10
th goal of the season while Brecken Mozingo tallied her 10
th assist in the 2023 campaign.
OU’s scoring leader with 10 goals, Emma Hawkins, led the Sooners with five shots during the match.
No. 2-seeded BYU will face the winner of Wednesday night’s contest between No. 3-seed TCU and No. 6-seed UCF.
