The Big 12 Conference has selected the Maverik Center to host the 2025-27 Big 12 Gymnastics Championships. Located in West Valley City, Utah, the Maverik Center is the home of the Utah Grizzlies and has hosted many sporting events ranging from collegiate gymnastics to the Ice Hockey Championships of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.
“Maverik Center has made it a priority to become one of the premier destinations for NCAA Gymnastics,” said Maverik Center General Manager Kevin Bruder. “We are honored to be hosting the Big 12 Championship and look forward to seeing some of the top gymnasts in the country showcase their talent at the Maverik Center in West Valley City.”
Since the Conference’s first season in 1997, the gymnastics Championship has only been held at an off-campus site three times: 2004, 2016 and 2017. The 2025 Big 12 Gymnastics Championship’s two sessions will be held March 22 at 1 p.m. CT and 6 p.m. CT.

This year’s Championship will consist of two sessions. Team placements for each session will be determined by the Team NQS. The first session will include the teams seeded fifth through seventh while the second session will feature the league’s top four ranked squads.
The 2025 season will be the first with a Conference slate as Arizona, Arizona State and Utah joined the league, along with BYU, Iowa State, West Virginia and affiliate member Denver.
The Conference schedule includes the seven teams competing in six duals during eight weeks, beginning Friday, Jan. 17. The team(s) with the best winning percentage will be crowned the regular season champion.
Tickets for the Championship will be released at a later date.
