KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The sixth-seeded Kansas Jayhawks defeated the second-seeded Texas Tech Red Raiders 2-1 to advance to the final of the 2024 Sprouts Farmers Market Big 12 Soccer Championship held at CPKC Stadium.
KU’s Raena Knust knocked in the night’s first goal at the 40:25 mark before Olivia Page scored the final goal for the Jayhawks in the 50
th minute.
Texas Tech’s Ashleigh Williams registered her sixth goal of the season in the 64
th minute.
The Red Raiders (14-3-2) await their NCAA Tournament fate, to be revealed on Monday’s selection show.
The Jayhawks (11-5-4) extended their win streak to seven matches as they make their first Big 12 Championship final appearance since taking the title in 2019. It will be the program’s third appearance since its first in 2015.
