The Big 12 Conference has selected Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Washington to serve as the host site for the 2025 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championship.
This will mark the first neutral site for the Championship as it has been hosted on a Big 12 campus each year since 1997. Beginning in 2025, Arizona, Arizona State and Utah will join BYU, Cincinnati, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas, TCU and West Virginia as Big 12 institutions that compete in Swimming & Diving.
“We are excited to welcome all Big 12 and NCAA Division I collegiate athletes and their families to make the City of Federal Way their ‘home away from home’ for the 2025 Swimming and Diving Championships,” said Federal Way Mayor Jim Ferrell. “Federal Way is centered on opportunities for these athletes to visit, compete, and play. Congratulations athletes and Welcome to Federal Way!”
“We’re honored to host the Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championship, offering a modernized facility that provides an outstanding experience for elite athletes and their fans,” said King County Executive Dow Constantine. “We’ve made significant improvements at our Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in recent years, making it brighter, more energy efficient, and more comfortable for swimmers of all ages and abilities, including collegiate superstars.”
Dates for the 2025 Championship will be Tuesday, February 25 - Saturday, March 1. The WKCAC will also be the site of the 2025 NCAA DI Women’s and Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships.
