Baylor’s Tyler Isgrig (co-offensive), Colorado’s Jordan Nytes (goalkeeper), Texas Tech’s Raleigh Greason (co-freshman), Utah’s Brooklyn Blaylock (defensive) and West Virginia’s Ava Arnold (co-freshman) and Taylor White (co-offensive) earned Big 12 soccer’s weekly honors for their performances during week nine.
Isgrig tallied a brace and dished out an assist to lead the league’s point scorers with five last week. Her assist in the 39
th minute against BYU settled the score with both teams ending the first half at one goal apiece. The senior then equalized the match at 2, scoring her first goal of the night 13 seconds after the Cougars’ goal in the 53
rd minute. It only took her six minutes to tally her seventh goal of the season before the Bears posted a 4-2 win at end of the 90 minutes. Credited with the game-winner, Isgrig’s multi-goal performance marked her third brace of the 2025 campaign. Her outing earned her a selection to TopDrawerSoccer’s Team of the Week and marked her third Big 12 accolade this season.
White’s third brace of the season helped WVU extend its unbeaten streak to 10 contests following a 3-2 comeback victory over Houston. The Cougars’ goal in the 80
th minute gave UH a 2-1 lead, but White’s goal 30 seconds later tied the match. The senior from Cincinnati, Ohio then tallied the game-winner three minutes later to seal the Mountaineers’ win. White ranks fifth in the Big 12 with eight goals this season as she captured her second career Big 12 honor.
Blaylock and the Utah defense helped the team claim its second-consecutive shutout as the Utes earned a 1-0 over Arizona. Utah struck first in the match with their lone goal crossing the goal line a minute into the contest. Blaylock played every single second on the pitch and prevented the Wildcats from registering a shot on target in five shot attempts. She is the first Ute to earn a Big 12 accolade this season while this is her second career Defensive Player of the Week award after being recognized last season (Oct. 23).
Nytes grabbed six saves last week as Colorado garnered a 2-0 shutout over Arizona State. The win marked her 10
th victory with 1,215 minutes played in the net for the Buffaloes this season. The senior has totaled 59 saves this season, the second-most registered by Big 12 goalies. This week’s selection is her first of the season and places her second in the Big 12 record book with eight career Goalkeeper of the Week accolades.
Greason’s first goal scored during Big 12 play crossed the net in the 25
th minute in the top-20 matchup between the then-No. 11/9 Red Raiders and No. 17/15 TCU. She booted a left-footed strike into the net that marked the game’s first goal before the Horned Frogs equalized the match in the second half to end the contest with a 1-1 draw. The goal was her second of the season after she recorded her first collegiate goal in TTU’s season opener at San Diego State. Greason grabs TTU’s first Big 12 freshman weekly award since the 2023 season.
Arnold’s assists helped WVU tie with UH multiple times in the contest last week in Morgantown. Her first assist placed WVU on the scoreboard before she dished out a pass to teammate Taylor White for her first goal of the night. The pair of assists was the first time the freshman had dished out multiple in one contest. Arnold earns her first Big 12 award and is WVU’s first freshman to capture the weekly honor this season.
