BYU’s Ellie Walbruch (offensive) and Mia Goettsche (co-freshman), Colorado’s Jordan Nytes (goalkeeper), KU’s Jordan Rowan (co-freshman) and TCU’s Cameron Patton (defensive) captured Big 12 soccer’s awards for Week Ten.
Walbruch tallied four goals to lead all of the Conference’s point scorers last week. The junior totaled five shots on goal against Arizona with three crossing the goal line during her first career hat trick. Her final goal of the night was the game-winner in the 76
th minute as the Cougars captured a 3-2 win over the Wildcats. Walbruch then struck first in the matchup against then-ranked No. 21/9 Colorado in the 2-2 draw. BYU’s leading goal scorer (10 goals) collects her first career Big 12 weekly honor.
Patton and the TCU backline earned a shutout against a ranked team and only allowed one goal during the team’s two matches last week. The Horned Frogs held then-No. 10/7 Baylor to one shot on goal and eight total shots in a 3-0 win before dueling Oklahoma State in a 3-1 victory. Playing a combined 161 minutes between the two contests, she helped out on the offensive efforts as she dished out an assist on TCU’s second goal in each game.
Nytes, the reigning Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week, tallied 13 saves last week, the most by any Big 12 goalkeeper during Week 10. She finished the week only conceding three goals while earning a win. She posted six saves in the Buffaloes’ 2-1 win over Utah before her seven saves against BYU matched her second-most saves of the 2025 campaign. She held the Cougars scoreless in the second half as Monday night’s battle in Provo ended as a 2-2 draw.
Goettsche registered a goal last week in 139 minutes of action against Arizona and Colorado. With the Buffaloes up 2-1, the freshman came through for the Cougars, netting the game equalizer in the 28
th minute to finish the week with four points. This is her second honor of the season.
Rowan scored Kansas’ first goal of the week as the Jayhawks tallied three between their contests against then-No. 24/22 West Virginia and Cincinnati. The freshman forward put KU on the scoreboard with her lone shot attempt of the match. Rowan has scored four goals and has nine points this season. She is the second Jayhawk freshman to claim the league’s weekly award for players in their first year of competition.
