IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State freshman Landon Robideau has been named Big 12 Wrestler of the Week for the second week of the season. Robideau gives the Cowboys their second consecutive weekly winner to open the season, following his 11-2 major decision over No. 4 Daniel Cardenas of Stanford.
In his collegiate debut, Robideau defeated the returning All-American with three takedowns to earn the win. The freshman’s victory at 157 pounds also helped propel OSU to a convincing 33-7 win over then-No. 19 Stanford.
Robideau’s weekly honor comes after redshirt freshman Zack Ryder took home the award to begin the season. The fifth-ranked Cowboys will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 15 against Cornell in the National Duals Invitational at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
