Arizona State Repeats with 2025 Big 12 Volleyball Title

Arizona State clinched the 2025 Big 12 Volleyball title outright for the second consecutive season with a 3-1 road win Friday over Houston. The Sun Devils (24-3) are 15-1 in league play with two matches remaining in the regular season.

In its first season as a member of the Conference, Arizona State won the Conference trophy in 2024 with 17 league wins. The Sun Devils can match that total with wins in its remaining two matches of the 2025 season. ASU has also clinched the Big 12’s automatic bid for the 2025 NCAA Volleyball Championship.

ASU is ranked ninth in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division I Coaches Poll and has the No. 3 RPI. In the first Top 16 rankings by the NCAA DI women’s volleyball committee on Oct. 19, the Sun Devils were slotted at No. 7. They have racked up an 8-2 record against ranked opponents and are 47-16 in sets during league play.

Arizona State leads the Big 12 in hitting percentage (.279), opponent hitting percentage (.165) and blocks (184.5), while Colby Neal is atop the Conference standings with 104 total blocks in Big 12 matches.

The Big 12 has seven teams in the American Volleyball Coaches Association’s (AVCA)/TARAFLEX Division I Women’s Volleyball Poll and six teams in the top 25 of the RPI. Both marks are tied for the most among all conferences. The Big 12 also has the No. 1-ranked Conference RPI.

The 2025 NCAA DI Women’s Volleyball Championship selection show is set for Sunday, Nov. 30 on ESPN.  The Big 12 has had at least six teams make the field in three of the last four seasons.
