Oklahoma State claimed its sixth men’s title at the 2025 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championship while the BYU women’s team finished as runner-up in the women’s 6K at Gans Creek Cross Country course in Columbia, Missouri.
Oklahoma State finished with a team score of 57, as five Cowboys placed in the top 15. Brian Musau, the reigning Big 12 Champion, took fourth (28:41.2), followed closely by Fouad Messaoudi in fifth (28:42.8), Denis Kipngetich in sixth (28:44.3) and Adisu Guadie rounded out the top-15 in 12th (28:49.7).
Iowa State completed the podium with 158 points for third place. Colorado finished 10th with 318 points, while BYU totaled 336 points for an 11th-place finish, rounding out conference participation in the men’s race.
The BYU women’s team secured second place with a score of 130, thanks to two top 10 finishers. Big 12 Champion Jane Hedengren finished second (18:38.9), closely followed by teammate Riley Chamberlain in fourth (18:38.9). Nelah Roberts (41st) and Taylor Rohatinsky (47th) also placed in the top 50, helping the Cougars to their runner-up finish.
West Virginia women’s team tallied a ninth-place finish with a score of 280, led by All-American Joy Naukot with a 12th-place finish. The Oklahoma State and Colorado women finished in the top 15 with scores of 432 and 434, respectively.
The Conference garnered 12 NCAA All-Americans on the men’s side, with OSU leading the way with five. Iowa State tallied four, followed by BYU, Cincinnati and Texas Tech with one All-American selection apiece. On the women’s side, the Big 12 had six athletes earn All-American honors, with two Cougars, two Cyclones, one Cowgirl, and one Mountaineer.
