TCU’s Marta Suarez (player) and Houston’s Jade Jones (freshman) received Big 12 women’s basketball awards for the third week of the 2025-26 season. BU's Taliah Scott, UC’s Caliyah DeVillasee and ISU’s Audi Crooks join the pair on the Big 12 Starting Five, which highlights strong performances from around the league.

Suarez posted consecutive double-doubles in TCU’s victories over Tarleton State and UTRGV, helping to extend TCU’s program record home winning streak to 29 games, tied for the longest in Division I. The graduate student from Spain has led the Horned Frogs in scoring in three straight games and four times overall this season. Suarez is one of four players in the country averaging at least 19 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting 40% from deep. This is her first Big 12 Player of the Week honor.

Jones averaged 16 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.3 steals across three games for the Cougars while shooting 61.1% from the field. The freshman from Palm Beach, Florida made her first career start against UTRGV and led the team in scoring with a career-high 18 points (9-12 from the field). Jones scored the game-winner at the buzzer to lead UH to its first road win since Feb. 17, 2024. The forward remained in the starting lineup against High Point as she recorded her first career double-double with 16 points (6-9 from the field),12 rebounds and two blocks. Jones is the first player from Houston to win a Big 12 women’s basketball weekly honor.

Scott scored 32 points against then-No. 19 Iowa before a 22-point showing against Davidson. DeVillasee averaged 16.5 points, 6.0 assists, 2.0 rebounds while shooting 52% from the field and 50% from three across the week. Crooks has made the Starting Five each week after leading ISU in scoring both games while shooting 75% from the floor during the third week of the season.
