Texas Tech’s JT Toppin (player & newcomer) garnered the Big 12’s final men’s basketball weekly awards for the 2024-25 season.

Toppin recorded a pair of double-doubles during the final week of the regular season, averaging 27.5 points and 12.5 rebounds in a pair of wins. The forward from Dallas began the week by scoring 30 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in a 91-75 victory over Colorado before posting 25 points and 11 rebounds in an 85-57 road win against Arizona State. The sophomore has three games of 30+ points and 14 double-doubles for the season. This is Toppin’s second Big 12 Player of the Week recognition, and his fourth time being named the league’s Newcomer of the Week, including three of the last four weeks.
