The College Basketball Crown announced five Big 12 men’s basketball programs would be a part of its single-elimination 16-team contest, which takes place Monday, March 31 to Sunday, April 6. In addition, one Big 12 program was selected to play in the NIT.
Arizona State, UCF, Cincinnati, Colorado and Utah head to the MGM Grand Garden Arena and T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas for the inaugural College Basketball Crown, with all games airing on FOX and FS1. Action begins on March 31 with Utah facing Butler (1 p.m. MDT) and Arizona State squaring off against Nebraska (5:30 p.m. MST). On April 1, Cincinnati faces DePaul (3 p.m. ET), UCF plays Oregon State (5:30 p.m. ET) and Colorado lines up against Villanova (6:40 p.m. MDT). All first-round games are on FS1.
Oklahoma State accepted a bid to the NIT, where the Cowboys host Wichita State at 8 p.m. CT on ESPN2. Combined with seven bids to the NCAA Tournament, 13 of 16 Big 12 teams will participate in the postseason.
