Six Big 12 gymnastics teams were named to the 36-team field of the 2025 NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championship announced Monday afternoon. All seven programs will be represented in this season’s championship field as Iowa State earned individual gymnast selections.
The 2025 Big 12 Champions, No. 4 Utah will host the Utah Regional competing in the April 3 evening Second Round quad against No. 13 Stanford, Denver and the winner of the play-in dual between BYU/Utah State.
The top two finishers of the quad will face the top two teams in the region’s second quad meet between No. 5 seed UCLA, No. 12 seed Minnesota, Boise State and Southern Utah.
ISU’s gymnasts Josie Bergstrom-Te Slaa (all-around), Frederique Sgarbossa (uneven bars), Noelle Adams (floor) and Haylee Hardin (floor) will join the field as individual competitors.
The Pioneers make their 26
th overall appearance in the NCAA Regionals as they finished at No. 18 in the regular season NQS rankings as BYU marks its 12th consecutive appearance following a 2025 NQS score of 196.025.
Arizona and Arizona State received a berth to the Washington region’s Second Round quad meet facing No. 7 Missouri and No. 10 Georgia. The GymCats, the 2025 Big 12 Gymnastics Championship runner-up, posted an NQS ranking at No. 21 with a score of 196.525 while the Gym Devils ranked at No. 26 with a score of 196.310 ahead of its seventh-straight NCAA regional.
The Washington region’s other quad meet features No. 2 Oklahoma, No. 15 Auburn and the winner of UC Davis/Illinois.
West Virginia makes its first regionals appearance in two seasons as the Mountaineers will face Maryland in the First Round’s play-in meet in the Pennsylvania Regional, hosted by Penn State. With a win, WVU will advance to face No. 1 LSU, No. 16 Arkansas and Michigan.
Teams ranked 1-16 received seedings while the remaining 20 teams were placed geographically at one of the four regional sites.
The top two teams, the top all-around competitors and the top eight event specialists not on an advancing team from each region will advance to the championship semifinals and finals April 17 & 19 in Fort Worth, Texas.
