BYU’s Corrigan and TCU’s Tucker Collect First Set of 2025 Big 12 OTF Weekly Honors

BYU’s James Corrigan (men’s) and TCU’s London Tucker (women’s) were named the Big 12 Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week to open up the 2025 season.

At Arizona’s Willie Williams Classic, Corrigan posted a winning time of 8:43.57 in the men’s 3,000-meter steeplechase. The 2024 Paris Olympian’s time broke a 21-year-old stadium record while it was the fastest in the NCAA this season and ranked No. 2 in the world’s best marks this year. This is the Los Angeles native’s first Big 12 outdoor track and field honor.

Tucker competed in the women’s 100 meters, 4x100 meter relay and the long jump as the Horned Frogs hosted the TCU Alumni Invitational. Her time of 11.19 seconds in the 100-meter earned her the gold, while she was also a member of the winning 4x100-meter relay team that finished the event in 43.73 seconds. Both marks rank second in the 2025 NCAA outdoor performance list. The freshman rounded out her week with a third-place leap of 6.04 meters in the long jump.
