Arizona State’s Jayden Davis (men’s) and BYU’s Lexy Halladay-Lowry (women’s) were selected as Week 5’s Big 12 Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week.
Davis won the silver medal in the 400-meter dash at the Mt. SAC relays with a time of 44.84 seconds. The sophomore was the only collegiate athlete to place in the top 3. His time leads the Big 12 while it is the second-fastest mark recorded in the event this season. This is his first outdoor weekly award while he captured a weekly accolade during the indoor season.
Halladay-Lowry bested her time in the 5,000 meters as she crossed the finish line in 14:52.93 at the Bryan Clay Invitational. Her time eclipsed the BYU program’s previous mark at 15:12.90, set by current Olympian Whittni Morgan during the 2021 season. Halladay-Lowry, sitting No. 2 in this season’s outdoor performance list, finished runner-up in the event at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championship. This is her first career Big 12 track and field weekly award.
