ISU’s Williams and KU’s Davis Secure Week 12 Big 12 WBB Awards

Iowa State’s Jada Williams (player) and Kansas’ Jaliya Davis (freshman) collected Big 12 women’s basketball weekly accolades for the 12th week of the 2025-26 season. BYU’s Delaney Gibb, Texas Tech’s Snudda Collins and West Virginia’s Sydney Woodley join the pair on the Big 12 Starting Five, which highlights strong performances from around the league.

Williams led the league during the week in scoring (31.5 ppg) and assists (7.5 apg) while ranking second in field goal percentage (69.7%). The junior from Kansas City scored a career-high 44 points against Cincinnati, an Iowa State single-game Big 12 scoring record and a Cylone Hilton Coliseum single-game scoring record. Williams dished out eight assists to account for 62 points (67% of the Cyclones’ scoring in the game), the most points scored or assisted on in NCAA DI women’s basketball this season. She followed up with a game-high 19 points and seven assists against Arizona to lead ISU to a 2-0 week. This is her first career Big 12 weekly honor.

Davis scored over 20 points in both games during the week while helping guide the Jayhawks to a road win over Arizona and a home rivalry victory against K-State. The star freshman averaged 23.5 points over the two contests and pulled down a career-high eight rebounds in both wins. The native of Overland Park, Kansas shot 65.4% from the field and 72.2% from the free throw line during the week. Davis becomes the fifth player ever to win the league’s Freshman of the Week title four consecutive times.

Gibb led BYU to its first ranked win of the season, scoring 18 points against then-No. 19 Texas Tech before posting a season-high 28 points against No. 22 West Virginia. Collins put up career-highs in points (28), field goals (9) and made 3-pointers (6) in a 77-49 road victory over Utah. Woodley scored a career-high 23 points against BYU while shooting 85.7% from the floor.

The 2026 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women’s Basketball Tournament returns to Kansas City’s T-Mobile Center from March 4-8/9, featuring all 16 Big 12 women’s basketball programs competing for the Conference’s postseason title and an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament.
