IRVING, Texas – Baylor, Iowa State and Texas Tech led the way with multiple winners in the Monster Energy Big 12 Football weekly awards for Week Five, with Arizona, BYU and Houston also receiving recognition. The Bears earned offensive and freshman honors for the first time this season, and the Cyclones took home awards on offense and the offensive line for the first time as well.
Flora made history by becoming the first Big 12 running back to throw and rush for multiple touchdowns in a game during Iowa State’s 45-42 victory over West Virginia. The Adel, Iowa native rushed for 212 yards and three scores on 22 carries while completing two passes for 48 yards that both found the end zone. Flora now owns the top two rushing performances in the Big 12 this season after running for 194 yards versus Bowling Green in Week Three.
With a career performance of four passing touchdowns alongside completing 25 of 40 passes for 306 yards and a score on the ground,
Lagway paced a Baylor offense to 564 yards of offense in its 55-19 win at Arizona State. The Bears’ 55 points were the most scored by a Big 12 team in Conference play this season and the most surrendered by the Sun Devils since they joined the Big 12 in 2024.
Winning the second Big 12 weekly honor of his career,
Pollock earned this week’s distinction by tallying a pair of interceptions in the Red Raiders’ 29-7 win at Colorado. The victory also marked the second two-interception game of his career, snagging a pair of picks in a win over Oregon State last season. Both of his turnovers helped set up Texas Tech field goals on Saturday.
Satuala recorded four tackles, including a tackle for a loss, and a key interception in a BYU 17-10 win over TCU in Fort Worth. His interception in the second quarter was returned 59 yards deep into Horned Frog territory that set up the Cougars’ first touchdown of the game. His interception of TCU’s Jaden Craig was Satuala’s first of the season and fifth of his career.
A perfect 5-of-5 kicking day that included field goals from 40 and 46 yards out,
Dimas scored nine points in Houston’s 27-17 win over UCF. The 46-yarder in the final minutes of the game was a career long and capped the Cougars’ run of 27 unanswered points.
Karoll becomes the first three-time winner of a Conference award this season, booming three punts for an average of 55.7 yards per kick in Texas Tech’s win in Boulder. The senior from Australia made the most of kicking at elevation with punts of 66 and 67 yards that were downed at the CU 2-yard line and the 16-yard line. Karoll is also the individual NCAA punting leader at 50.0 yards per attempt so far this season.
Morris made the most of his nine carries in Baylor’s win over ASU, with a 9.3 yards per carry average, capped by his 63-yard touchdown run on the Bears’ second drive of the game. The Honey Grove, Texas native helped power a Baylor rushing attack that amassed 244 yards on the ground as part of its 564 total yards of offense and 55 points.
Opening up lanes for its weekly award winner,
Iowa State’s offensive line cleared the way for a rushing attack that totaled 264 yards on the ground and secured its Big 12-leading 22
nd consecutive 100-yard rushing game. The Cyclones posted 577 yards of offense against WVU, which were ISU’s most yardage against a Conference opponent in a decade.
Arizona’s defensive line stymied Cincinnati, the Conference’s No. 2 rushing offense, to just 74 yards on the ground and a total of seven points. Saturday’s win also marked the Bearcats’ lowest rushing output in a Conference game since joining the Big 12 in 2023. The Wildcats’ defensive front tallied 16 total tackles, including a sack-and-a-half and four tackles for a loss.
