IRVING, Texas – The Big 12 Conference has selected the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N. C. to serve as the host site for the 2027 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championship. This will mark the second year that the site will host the Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championship, with this year’s Championship slated to begin on Tuesday, Feb. 24.
 
“The Big 12 Conference is excited to continue our partnership with the Greensboro Aquatic Center,” said Big 12 Associate Vice President of Olympic Competition Lizzie Gomez. “As one of the premier aquatic facilities in the nation, the Greensboro Aquatic Center will continue to offer an outstanding championship experience for our student-athletes."
 
The state-of-the-art, multi-purpose, four-pool venue is the largest indoor aquatic center in the country, standing at 105,323 square feet, and has hosted numerous national events, including USA Swimming Championships, USA Diving Championships and NCAA Championships since opening in 2011.
 
The 2027 Championship will be the third consecutive neutral site for the Big 12 Championship, following its hosting on a Big 12 campus each year from 1997 to 2024, before being hosted at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Washington in 2025.

The 2026 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championship presented by Allstate will be the second year that the Conference will host seven men’s programs and 10 women’s programs. Arizona State took home both the men’s and women’s titles in 2025 at the Conference’s first neutral site Championship.
 
The dates for the 2027 Championship will be Tuesday, Feb. 23 to Saturday, Feb. 27. Further information about the 2027 Championship will be released at a later date.
