2026 Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Championships Begin Friday in Lubbock

The 2026 Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Championship Presented by Allstate will head to Lubbock, Texas, beginning Friday, Feb. 27 and finishing Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Sports Performance Complex at Texas Tech University.

Heading into the weekend, the Big 12 has seven programs combined in the USTFCCCA national rankings. The February 24 poll placed Kansas State at No. 4 and Texas Tech at No. 12 on the men’s side. For the women, BYU sits at No. 3, while Texas Tech and Kansas State are at No. 8 and No. 10, respectively, with No. 15 Oklahoma State and No. 20 Iowa State rounding out the Conference in the rating index.

The Texas Tech men’s and women’s programs will look to defend their titles from last season, while the men attempt to become the second program to achieve a four-peat since Nebraska (2000-05).
The championship will kick off on Friday at 10 p.m. CT with the men’s heptathlon. All coverage of the Championship with be broadcast on ESPN+ beginning at 10 a.m. CT on both day. Kit McConnico, John Nownes and Alex Jean Glover will be the on-air talent for the event.
