Texas Tech’s Temitope Adeshina and BYU’s Jane Hedengren were named to the March edition of the Bowerman watchlist after the opening of the 2026 outdoor season.
Adeshina finished her undefeated indoor season by successfully defending her national title with a leap of 1.97 meters in the women’s high jump. Heading into the national championship, the junior claimed her third individual Big 12 title with a 1.96-meter mark. Adeshina finished her indoor season by being named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Women’s Field Athlete of the Year.
Hedengren has appeared on every woman’s watch list this season, becoming the first freshman to achieve this feat. The freshman claimed two gold medals at the 2026 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship in the women’s 3,000 meters and 5,000 meters. Hedengren was named the USTFCCCA National Women’s Track Athlete of the Year at the end of her indoor season.
