Cincinnati’s Jack Natili (player), Arizona’s Smith Bailey (pitcher), Baylor’s Tyce Armstrong (co-newcomer) and Utah’s Cal Miller (co-newcomer) were named the Big 12 Baseball Players of the Week for the 10th week of the 2026 season.
Natili smashed three home runs in Sunday’s rubber match at UCF, launching a solo homer in the sixth inning, a two-run blast in the seventh to tie the game, and a third homer in the ninth to extend Cincinnati’s lead. The junior catcher became one of just three players nationally to hit three home runs in multiple games this year. Natili added another home run earlier in the week in the Bearcats’ 15-5 run-rule win over Xavier. He finished the week batting .357 (5-for-14) with four home runs, eight RBI, six runs scored and a 1.214 slugging percentage. He ranks second on the Bearcats in both home runs (13) and RBI (47).
Bailey turned in a dominant start on Saturday against Kansas State, recording a career-high 15 strikeouts while allowing just one hit over 6.0 scoreless innings. The sophomore right-hander recorded 15 of the 18 outs via strikeout, finishing with no runs allowed, one walk and a 0.33 WHIP. Bailey’s 15 strikeouts were tied for the most in the country for the week, while his WHIP was the third-best among Big 12 pitchers.
Armstrong led Baylor’s offense with nine hits, batting .500 (9-for-18) with two home runs, six RBI and seven runs scored. He recorded multiple hits in three of the four games, highlighting his week with a two-homer performance against UTSA, where he also collected three hits, three runs and four RBI. The senior notched the game-tying, two-run homer in the 12th inning, before the Bears walked it off two batters later. Armstrong increased his season total to 14 home runs, the most by a Baylor player since 2012. He followed that with a three-hit performance in the series opener against TCU, where he added three runs and two RBI. His nine hits led the Conference for the week, while his seven runs were tied for the most among Big 12 players.
Miller helped power Utah to a three-game sweep of Texas Tech, batting .400 for the week, while hitting two home runs and driving in six runs across three games. The freshman infielder went 4-for-7 in the series with runners on base and added two walks. One of those came with the bases loaded, proving to be the game-deciding run. He finished the week with a 1.000 slugging percentage after recording a home run in both the series opener and the series finale.
